Windows 7: Filling Out "My System Specs"

Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (Retail)

My specs were added (with as much detail as possible) when i signed up.
I currently still use Vista mainly due to the lack of vendor-supplied drivers for my hardware.
7229 is the current Win7 build I have, though (I prefer x64)
I will note the specs section does not include Printer info. I added it to the 'Other Info' but it didn't get saved.

As far as I know there isnt.. You can run dxdiag from the search box and save the report to your desktop, then copy and paste the info into your system specs.. it only takes a few minutes and its normally a one time thing...

I agree. Except that we should begin with you.

At least, try to be more accurate. I'm not aware of a case manufacturer called 'Cheap Plastic'.

I use EditPad Pro. This app can save projects - multiple files open on multiple tabs. You can copy and paste canned responses. Does not support embedded graphics (it is a text editor) but you could, I suppose, include links to graphics.

I suppose this business man takes his auto to the dealer and says fix it.
7 hours later at 100.00 an hour, the mechanic finds the problem.

the knob fell off the passenger side seat adjuster.
35c worth of super glue and 20 mins (Free) if noted, by telling what was wrong..

CPU-Z, plus auto transfer from CPU-Z report to website page. "Click this" to have your specs auto imported to web site. Make it easier, more people will do it.

This would require a normalized file record layout. Perhaps one of the coders here could put aside some billable time for a non-billable project and develop a CPU-Z type app, or modify an existing opens source analog. I wonder what the time on task would be for that? And the motivation?

My vote is for distributed processing - use the tool as it is provided.

Filling out System Specs
