Windows® 8 Pro (64-bit)

Using the taskkill command as said by Antman, right click on the desktop and create a new shortcut adding this command. So now you have a new icon which will do the job for you instead of typing the command everytime. :)

ALT+F4 will close/shut down the window in focus. Yes, it will shut down windows.
