Keep current color scheme & don't show this message again

When i close at least one game out (BC2...maybe others too) i sometimes get a mesaage with 3 options. One of them says "keep the current color scheme and don't show this message again". Problem is, it DOES show that message again.....and again and again etc etc. How can i stop it from appearing again, because choosing that option does NOT keep it from coming up again.

Basically what it's about is the desktop config and it's telling me they may be interfering with the game and that maybe i should uncheck certain things like aero peek or other resource hogs so i don't have issues with games. Why it does this when i close the game i don't know, tho it has done it b4 when the game closed down by itself. But i don't care if the config is causing that. I can live with that happening now and then. I can't however live with that d@mn message any more ! Is there a way to stop it?

Right click on the game application exe> Go to properties> Compatibity> Check the Disable composition option> Click apply

Whenever you start this game, the system will disable the aero theme and turn it back on as soon as you close the game.

Thanks, i'll try that. Does it just disable that or all things that add effects to desktop and windows?

It will just disable Aero, and you will have a basic theme, until the game is over. Even when you have plenty of resources, for some reason Windows seems to think you are short when running the games. That's why it asks if you want to save the current color theme (which you don't), and then appears to work fine. A Guy
