win 7 explorer viewer suck or i am missing something

when on explorer viewing jpg pictures on previewing pane style viewing, everytime i have to rotate a pic, after clicking(rotate command) the cursor jumps to the next pic usually my next raw pic file that windows cannot open. So i have to click back on the original pic i was looking at to make it show up the rotated pic I wanted on the previewing pane. is there i can do to keep the same pic on preview pane after i rotate it?

another "pain" of windows 7 is when i am highlighting numerous pic (with intention of deleting, etc.) and usually I will hold either shift or ctrl keys while i click on one pic after another. If i click & carelessly drag the curser even for just a tiny one, windows will automatically make copies of all highlighted files. Super annoying. this was also around in my old XP OS but hope it wioll go away but obviously not.

    any help will be appreciated.

I have not investigated Problem 1.

Problem 2, aka Accidental Drag and Drop can be addressed by changing two registry values as shown in the attached

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop

Set the value higher to increase the number of pixels the cursor must move before triggering the drop.

    1. Press <WINDOWS_KEY>+<R> to open the Run dialog
    2. Type REGEDIT and click OK or press <ENTER>

Just use caution when editing the registry, as making the wrong changes can lead to more problems than you're trying to solve. Its a good idea to use System Restore to create a restore point before editing the registry.

Have you also not considered installing Windows Live Essentials for your picture management?
