Hard to say, but from what I've seen posted, one of the key differences between your default administrator account and the disabled system one is the system admin account bypasses UAC. You can do anything you want without being prompted by UAC. As a "test" try turning UAC off and see if that fixes things for you. Its a lot easier than enabling and logging into the system admin account. Its not a good idea to be using that system admin account as your daily user. If you screw it up it could be really bad news. To my way of thinking you only ever want to use that account when you really have to. Personally I have UAC turned off and have never had any problems doing anything on my PC. I know the consequences of turning it off and i can live with them. I don't loose any sleep over it.
By default the account you created was made a member of the administrators group. Thats why it says administrator under your user name. The built in system administrator account is also a member of the administrators group but it is a special account. Don't confuse one with the other. They are different for a reason. I don't know all the reasons or differences but I do know enough not to mess around with it unless I really have too. I'm sure some of the IT guys could explain it better.

1) Have you tried reinstalling the program and installing it as admin (right click on the install file, choose the Properties\Compatibility tab -Run as admin option)? Also checking the compatibility mode option for XP?
2) (and perhaps a better option) Have you tried MS's free Sync Toy? Not familiar with GoodSync, so it may be missing a few features, but guaranteed compatibility, simple to use, can likely be scheduled via task scheduler and it comes in 64 bit or 32 bit flavors. I use it and it works well. Give it a look if you haven't already ruled it out:

Sync toy doesn't allow you to backup file for file it makes a backup image and you ahve to restore to get stuff back. I want and need somethng that can back up files as if I am copying them to another drive myself.
This damn permissions crap with Windows 7. I can understand why nobody has run into this problem. I've never installed a program and chose to install in admin mode, how is it done?

I tried the first option to run the program as administrator and now I don't get any erros and GoodSync seems to work fine. I can't believe that it is truelt fixed because if it was that easy why wouldn't Microsoft and GoodSync tech support not know that fix, I have spent many many hours with both of the support tech depts.
I hope it was that but something tells me it can't be even though it now runs without the error 5 access denied.

Actually, Sync toy does exactly that. You create a left and right folder pair(left=source, right=destination) and it syncs them. It allows you 3 options, as per screenshot:
As for your access error 5, time will tell. Did you check the compat mode of the install file as well?

Hummmm back when I looked I didn't think it had that feature... thanks, if that fix didn't really fix GoodSync I will try Sync toy..in fact I'll go get it now.

Keep in mind that, yes the error is coming from Win7, But it's due to the way your app works, and not the fault of Win7.
There is also Toucan which can synch. I have not tested it with Win7.
But, by default, Win7 does not allow certain actions to be preformed.
These are actions that are very virus like, which were a flaw in WinXP by making you a full admin on the system.
These things have been changed due to many many complaints over the years of XP's flawed security measures.
Also, a lot of Developers out there coded improperly for Windows as a whole.
XP allowed them to do many things that they were highly encouraged NOT to do because of security reasons.
Which is why, many Developers applications that make turn off UAC for their application to work, should be Highly Avoided. They are improperly coded, and more than likely use insecure measures to do certain processes.
QuickBooks comes to mind, and a simple fix of their app was needed, so they put out a whole new version and charged people a version upgrade for the fix. (yeah, they might have done some other stuff, but they could have released a fix for their broken application, that had they coded right in the first place, would not have been broken in Vista. QuickBooks fault, not Windows.)
This was not a fault or bug or problem with Windows. This lay squarely at the feet of 3rd party Developers, like the app you are attempting to use.
Windows is doing exactly what it is supposed to do.
Prevent malicious type activity from going on without your knowledge.
UAC has gotten better, no, it's not perfect, but it should NOT be disabled. It is there for a reason.
Win7 is NOT WinXP and should NOT be treated the same.
To be more precise.
Locations such as Program Files, Windows, Windows\System32 and Root of C:, to name a few
are pretty much off limits to a big degree.
I am going to make some guesses here, but they won't be far from true....
Synch apps may try to access those locations then try to make copies to C:\Temp or some other location chosen by that application that Windows says they are not allowed to use like they did in XP.
This will be the fault of the App. Not Windows7. Windows7 is protecting the system the way it is designed to do.
By changing permissions on those locations, you are in fact, without a doubt, be,
breaking Windows. Windows is not broken, you would be breaking it by your actions.

Is coming from a location that it is not allowed to access, by design.
If you can be more precise on what is trying to copied/changed and where that file is located.
As well as, where it is trying to save/copy it too, We might be able to give you better information.
Thanks for the long and detailed explaination. If I continue to run into problems I will just use Synctoy. I didn't think it had the feature I needed but now I know it does. Since I right clicked on the Goodsync.exe file and set it to run as administrator I haven't had a problem since so maybe the permission problems Goodsync was having was fixed when windows 7 now lets it run as a administrator, time will tell and if that fails I have Synctoy and since it's from Microsoft it should run without any issues....

But it was the way XP was setup out of the box, and no one bothered to teach anyone how to properly setup XP to run the way Win7 does out of the Box, (which can/could have been done in XP, and was supposed to have been since day one, just no one taught regular people how to do it, and most regular people said
Ahhhhh hahahaha, but we all know now, WHY, we needed those features enabled, even in XP."no way, I am the only user on my system, what do I need that headache for?"
Maybe there would have been Far far less Viruses/malware floating around.
