windows key + a number 1-9 starts up the program associated with the number on the dock. ex.... my first program is google chrome, to get it up and save my finger a click : ) lol... i can hit window key +1, so you can arrange programs you want to start like that....

on another note... i have a keyboard (logitech g110) this is good for things you want to do, it comes with "g-keys" keys that are ready to be macro'd it also came with good software, so i can set those keys to do anything i want, or open any program on the computer, or window etc... i can write scripts and also key combinations. This software came with the keyboard, but there is software out there to write macro's just like i do.
