    Help Me with me Hard Disk


    Guys Please help me i'm very sad about that i have a folder with a lot of basketball videos and music that i downloaded a lot of time in an external hard disk
    yesterday when i got on the disk i saw most of my folders empty!! guys i don't know what happened but my disks space is the same as it was before i had 2 GB free space and now is the same so how it can be empty what should i do

    One stupid opinion,maybe your files are hidden?
    And go to Safe Mode,check from there. And another one,boot some Linux distribution like Ubuntu as live cd,mount partition from there,and check.

    i check them if they are hide my friend and they didnt appear i didnt check for safe mode im going to do that thanks but any other opionions friends :) i dont want to lose those files they are very important for me

    Did you try the last one? To boot with Linux live cd?

    Have you checked your trash? It could be that they were deleted by accident or you could have moved the whole folder inside another folder. Try searching on one of the file names that you know should be there.

    If you have restore points - then you will have shadow copies.

    Use shadow explorer to copy back anything you need from your shadow copies:

    Dont think most people have system restore turned on for external drives.

    i tried to search the files guys nothing happened im going to try and see if they appear in safe mode or on my ubuntu
    operation i hope it will be ok they are so usefull to me i need them back

    well guys i tried everything i log on safe mode and see if they appear but nothing happened i log on to my Ubuntu system and nothing happened my problem is that the files are not deleted cause my free space is the same as when the file where there what should i do know anyone know any other thing that can i do
