Cannot save files. Please help

    Thanks, for now, I'll hang around to see if I can get the problem fixed without reinstalling... again... X( Also dropped bitdefender a help message to see what suggestions they've got. Shall remain hopeful for the moment. :)

    On an aside, I can actually save to my usb! How's that for wacked out... :/

    Sounds to me like bitdefender is defending your bits a bit too boldlyl

    I would remove Bitdefender and install microsoft's security essentials.

    If you have the time just humor me by check the permissions of your desktop folder (c:\users\USER NAME\desktop) and try giving the group everyone full control. You probably will have to type in the name everyone.

    Like I said if you have the time and feel so inclined.
