I bagged Win 7 Fax. Here is a link to what I use. It plays well with Win 7 and does the job for me. It is like thirty bucks and the lisc is good for two rigs. They have a free 30 day trial.

    Maybe

    DMC:

"I was really surprised to find out that you could not print directly from Word into Fax and Scan as you could do with WinFax."

MS removed the interaction of Word with Fax and Scan. Or did they? It no longer shows up in menus and commands. But I was able to scan in to word by useing key strokes. I don't remember the exact key stroke but it was kike ctrl-i-s or similar. Someone familar with the keyboard commands in Word 2007 or 2003 might be able to help. I believe the only thing removed was traces of it in the UI. The code still exists in the program. I think!!

    Office 2010

Key strokes to insert from scanner:

Alt, I, P, S will give you a window to insert a scan.

Now there is probably a way to fax. If I can find it.

The only solutions I found for faxing.

    Please refer to:

however, I recommend that you use a 3rd party fax software like Joyfax, VentaFax instead, they are more professional.

And there's also eFax (https://www.efax.com/features) which has an additional free feature that none of the others have: LARGE FILE SHARING. You can send multiple x-large files that are too big for email, including videos and high resolution images, without resulting in a blocked or bounced email. Watch Video. The files are actually transmitted by email, with a link provided to the recipient to open them.
