I think the upgrade is a good choice...

Is it possible to do a clean install and register the key with upgrade?

Wat kind of licence comes with this Upgrade? OEM or Retail?
Yes, Win7 should be like Vista. The upgrade key can be use to register upgrade.
if you want a CLEAN install. install Win7 w/o a KEY... you then have 30 days to upgrade that version to upgrade by inserting the DVD again and
click upgrade then insert the KEY, then activate online. 100% LEGIT just like Vista Ultimate Upgrade. Instruction included with ea Vista UPGRADE package. note the disk are marked UPGRADE. My upgrade disks were RETAIL

No and it is $65 and $125 canadian, taken from here
Thanks. Checking out the prices, the cost for Pro seems kinda ridiculous. Why be 100 bucks more than Home Premium but only 20 bucks less than Ultimate? Almost makes Pro worthless. If you're gonna blow that much money, might as well blow the extra 20 bucks on Ultimate. $249.99 would've seemed like a better price IMO.

Can someone explain this. I own a previous vista 32 ultimate license and original disk.

Can I buy a Windows 7 x64 upgrade and format my PC insert the windows 7 cd and install the OS? and when it asks for something insert the vista DVD or code? Or do I need to install vista 32 and upgrade over top of it? If the later its worthless to me to do this.

Also 319.99 for the Ultimate is a bit over the top! And thats with 50% off!???

Home Premium suits me, I wouldn't use any of the extra features in Ultimate.

As far as I've seen, only the upgrade versions get a discount, not the full versions.
