Windows 7 Upgrade Pre-ordering
I installed Windows 7 build 7100 and love it but wonder what's required for the home premium upgrade package when I have to buy. I was using XP (upgrade package from 98). Does that qualify? I have the CDs for both Upgrade XP and 98 so If during the install it asks I could pop them in.
Am I good to go? Thanks, Tom |

wow.. these prices are just so high, $219 just for the UPGRADE for Ultimate, that's pretty pricey, I was expecting them to be less. I know this is cheaper than Vista, and that is a good thing, but I personally think M$ needs to be much cheaper, as the times are hard, and people lost faith with Vista. they need to run win 7 for cheap, so everyone buys it. in the end I think that would benefit them. as most people will like it I think.
Also, So I have Win XP from my old HP computer that is in the other room. It's just chillin in there. but the system still runs. If I upgrade to Win 7 and buy for cheap. that serial and XP wont work anymore right? These are pretty high prices. |

High Pricing
Man, if you think the US pricing is high, you should see the Australian pricing. Its outrageous!
I seriously hope the reported Australian pricing is wrong. |

I don't see where I can specify a 32 or 64 bit version ...
Will this be like the XP > Vista upgrade where I have to pay an extra (and excessive) S&H to get the 64 bit version ?? |
