XP-Mode is desigend for business-applications that would not run within the win7-Environment.

It's not designed for Games or something special which requires 3d-Hardware.

We don't really need bitlocker anyways, with the free Truecrypt software around. I've been using that for years.

Win 7 Pro has XP mode. Home does not.

Ultimate is scam, just like Vista Ultimately. Seriously, how many of us really 'used' any of the Vista Ultimate's "extra, exclusive" features?
How is it a scam? it is only $20 more than pro, i would say those features are worth $20.

+1,, home premium think is the best option
Absolutely not. The XP Compatibility mode is essential in my eyes. I'll either buy Pro or Ultimate, likely Pro.

i think home premium is far a home user enough, and the the XP mode is no argument in my eyes for the ultimate version, because the most of the user who need XP have an XP licences at home, and VirtualBox is a realy good and free application (only to mention that the 3.0 version get direct3d 9 support, for the moment in the beta state but is works alreay not so bad.)

For $20 extra, why not go the whole hog?
