    Folder Keeps Locking Files

Everytime a file is created in a particular folder it becomes Locked, I have not turned anything on, or changed anything, I even did a system restore to 2 days ago when this behavior wasnt taken place...

I have assigned "Everyone" as permission to these files, but everytim a file is locked.

why has this behavior changed, and how can i leave the file as "NORMAL" meaning no need to assign permission for eveery file that is created! HELP!!

This is typically due to anti-virus, which tries to scan the files. Try disabling your anti-virus and see if it still occurs, if so then maybe try a different anti-virus, or adjust your settings.

This says it all. Download and install Windows Security Essemtials very quickly. Do a complete scan, then do the same with Malwarebytes and CCleaner, they are all free and easy to find on Google.

It was implied in my second sentance that you would only be disabling your anti-virus temporarily, and if that fixed the problem install a different anti-virus or change its settings. This was only to test if the problem was fixed by doing so.

The fact you have no anti-virus means that your system could well be infected by something that is causing the problem, so yes.. install an anti-virus.

You said you've assigned "Everyone" permissions to the folders/files, which implies you messed with the security permissions, right? Are the "Administrators", "SYSTEM" and "Users" entries still in place? If not, then add them back...
