We're going to need a TON more info than that. If you want us to help...help us with the details.
If it loads another user, than that user has to exist on your system. Or, is it loading your username, but with default backgrounds, icons, etc? Is the username the same or different than your admin account? What does your Event Viewer say for the random shut downs? Was this a clean install or an upgrade?
cool it loads my username and the default icons etc and i installed over the top of xp but i have got rid of all the xp stuff.
does that help???

Work through the Win7 troubleshooting steps.
You may get better performance by wiping the HD before reinstalling as described in the last step .

You need to do a "Clean" install from XP to Windows 7.i installed over the top of xp but i have got rid of all the xp stuff.

Clean Install Windows 7
Or
Clean Install Windows 7 : Ahead of XP
