    Corrupt ISO's

allright now i got allot of these on my HDD now for some reason almost all of them, and i got alot of LINUX and Windows ISO's that i have downloaded off of the MSDNAA site and my ISPs downlaod site andi really dont want to have to download them again, so do you know if there is a way to fix these? BTW this is an External drive.

    Any help is welcomed...
    Thank you

Why do you say they are corrupt? When you burn try to burn them, when you try to open them with winrar, etc.

    Just some wild ideas...
Can you try copying one to your internal drives and see if it throws up a CRC error?
Perhaps try extracting what you can with ISO buster then find and add the files that wont extract. Recreate ISO.

That's a mystery alright since the RCs are still intact here since first downloaded back in May and can still be opened right up with a double click with Winrar. I've had iso images for ubuntu 7.10 and 8.10 as well as older GParted live images stored here since last year and can still be used at any time.

I think you're SOL. I would be wary of losing all your data on that external drive.

Just for curiosity, what happens when you try to mount the ISO?

Have you got Shadow Copies for that partition/drive - going back to before the problem started ?
