    I really don't like them but they're generated automatically, so it doesn't matter if you delete them, they will reappear

    You can open cmd prompt as adminitrator in the drive you want them to be cleaned (just change the letter of the drive, type:
    C:\>del /s thumbs.db

    It will scan the all drive and delete those .db

    Or use the native Windows 7 settings:
