Anyone Else Experience...
Hello new guy here
![]() I couldn't really find a suitable place to put this so iv'e placed it here sorry if it's in the wrong section. EDIT: Windows 7 Home Premium x64 and before i updated i had a custom theme which meant i had to patch the system files. i never replaced the patched ones to the original ones before i updated, maybe thats the cause? Anyways about 30 mins ago i downloaded and installed around 4-6 windows updates ioncluding the Windows 7 SP! Update. Once it restarted i'm experincing a couple of small problems like when you click the left mouse button and drag, it's normally blue right? well mine is no longer blue its a dotted white line. Picture Here ![]() Also when i drag a window it is in a solid white line Picture Here ![]() My Taskbar is also set to autohide which isn't doing what it usually does (can't really get a picture of it but whn you hover on the side where the taskbar is i remember it had a kind of animation (slide out/in) now it just appears and disappears without the animation. Sorry if that was long and i know there minor things but damn there annoying me so much lol Thanks for reading and i hope someone here knows whats wrong:) Kennedy |

Sounds like elements of the custom themes are still holding on.
This may fix it. SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker After that is done go into control panel - system - advanced system settings - performance settings and set to best appearance. |

Hello Kennedy, and welcome to Seven Forums.
These may be able to help with this. :) For the translucent selection rectangle, double check using the tutorial below to make sure that it's turned on to get the blue back. Show Translucent Selection Rectangle For the drag window issue, double check using the tutorial below to make sure that the Show window contents while dragging box is checked in Visual Effects. Show Window Contents or Outline While Dragging For the taskbar sliding issue, double check at each tutorial below to make sure that the Animations in the Taskbar and Start Menu box is checked in Visual Effects, and that you do not have the Turn off all unnecessary animations (when possible) box checked in Ease of Access Center. Visual Effects Settings - Change Turn off all unnecessary animations Hope this helps, Shawn |

By the way i use "Zune Software" as my main media player now thats giving me a problem now.|-) It's not giving out any sound what so ever, but i get sound from youtube and i get the system sounds. i just tryed "Windows Media Player" (never used it before) and thats giving me a red circle with a white X beside the song. I presume it's just codecs but before the updates "Zune Software" worked like a charm. Starting to give me a head ache lol maybe The Comps dying on me now (serves me right though i keep it on 24/7) Is there a simple fix for this? Iv'e tryed uninstalling/reinstalling also restared the PC anything else i could try? Kennedy |

I would suggest using vlc media player, it doesn't even use codecs so it's immune to those kinds of problems popping up.
VideoLAN - VLC media player, Open Source video framework for every OS! |

Kennedy,
You would get better help on that separate issue by posting it as a new thread instead. Plus, it would keep this one on topic. :) |
