    Windows 7 icon/start menu error


    Windows 7 icon/start menu error-capture.png
    Missing all Icons, Start menu will not open, and folders with large amounts of items such as program files lags alot as if its continuasly trying to load the icons.

    Sounds like you might have a trojan. Download MalwareBytes Antimalware, install, update and scan.

    Did a virus scan using norton provided by comcast.

    But if you think I should I'll use it.

    it found hijack.displayproperties, and alot of tracking cookies.
    deleted them with malware bytes and restarted but no change.
