Windows positioning
This might be a question that's already discussed a lot, somehow I can't find a proper solution.
Question: can I force Windows to open certain applications where I want them and keep my preferred window size as well?
At the moment, this is a "per application" issue. Windows Explorer will usually remember it's size. Command prompt actually has a configurable option that I can use to place it where I want. This is very nice and that's what I want to have on other windows. Other applications (most annoyingly, emacs) don't have that feature at all, they are always opened in the same place and in the same size, and force me to constantly move and re-size them.
I am aware of partial solutions, such as ShellFolderFix, and third-party software solutions such as Window Manager, but I would think that Window placement is an inherent task for the window manager and should be handled by Windows without any third party software running.
So, the ultimate question is - is the positioning option a unique property of the Command Prompt, or it may somehow be unlocked for other application windows as well?
