    Repair Install CD

With a OEM machine with Windows preinstalled, there is no facility to do a Repair Install. It's either a full clean install or nothing.
Is there somewhere a person can download a Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit image to accomplish this kind of task.
    Regards to all

There's a a tool to burn a special system repair disc .Iso that you can download for x64...(let me a minute to find that)

    HERE

You can also create your own System Repair Disc in Windows 7 :

    Here at SevenForums:

    How to at MS:

You should be able aswell to download a retail image.iso from Microsoft then use the key on your sticker to activate your copy.

    Hello Johnny,

Sorry, but it's also the fact that you have a OEM Windows 7 installed as well. I do not believe that s retail Windows 7 installation disc would work to do a repair install with a OEM installation.

Greatly appreciate the quick replys. Looks as though if you have an OEM machine the only way to fix a broken Windows is wipe and re-install. Too bad that was always a nice feature.

To Manually Create a "System Repair Disc" in Windows 7
NOTE: If you have a OEM Windows 7 instead of a retail Windows 7, then you may need to use OPTION TWO below to create a System Repair Disc with instead.
From here:System Repair Disc - Create

You can have this option at boot like keyboard F10 or F8 depends of the parameters how your Mfg set the repair keys shorcut on your machine.

Sorry for the missunderstanding about retail disc....

I have had good luck running Win7 Repair Install on factory OEM a few times.

As with clean reinstall, one needs to borrow or find a Win7 installation DVD for your version.
