    Windows 7 Won't Boot

    Now i've had my Pc Setup with Windows 7 for a while now, (x64), However when SP1 came out it decided to Un-Genuine itself.

    Now before you ask Yes i Purchased it from Microsoft, Its Windows 7 Ulitmate x64.

    My Machine is Dual Booting Windows 7 and Xp

    The Problem;

    I installed Sp1 onto windows 7, Rebooted, Windows 7 not genuine.
    Okay i think to myself, lets Re-activate my key... Went online and what not, it decided not to work. Key was Invalid... (I Triple Checked it)

    Next thing i try was to rol back from Sp1, So system Restore to Build 7601. Didnt Work.

    2nd Try was to use Command Line, so i put in this; Wusa.exe /uninstall /kb:xxxxxx (Forget the Number)

    This Removed Sp1 and Windows still not genuine.Key still invalid. So i Restored to about a Week ago and it rebooted.

    The Machine now no longer recognises Windows 7 as a Boot option. Loads into Xp Fine though.

    So i look and all my files are still on the 7 Partition and i can access them. So i pulled up my BCD tool and tried to Re-write my Windows 7 onto the Boot manager. Still Nothing.

    Can anyone Give me a suggestion as to what i could do? All System Specs are in my Profile, though they shouldn't be needed as it has worked since it came out.

    Many Thanks in Advance..

    Have a look at Option Two #3 in this tutorial at the link below to make sure Windows 7 partition is still marked Active if not make it active and run the startup repairs discussed in the main body of the tutorial be sure to post back with any further questions you may have and to keep us informed.

    Right after the Past 2 hours of tinkering i've finally got Windows 7 up and running again as it was.

    I put the WIn 7 Disk in and Hit repair But that didnt add Windows 7 back into the initial boot log so i went back into Xp And tried BCD again.

    For some reason that did the trick (Not that im complaining)

    Anyway i Used the Remove WAT tool (Can i mention that, Since i used it For a Legit Reason?) and Reinstalled SP1 With my key and All seems good now.

    Thanks for the Help Guys.
