It says BitLocker DRIVER could the driver be some how installed somewhere on the computer and looking for something that is not there?

That's all I can come up with at this point. This would leave me to believe that somehow the driver and service got enabled and obviously isn't finding what it needs since Bitlocker isn't in use.

Apparently there are GPO policies for bitlocker as well.

bitlocker encrypted drive

I would check out the GPO section for bitlocker and make sure the bitlocker process isn't running and is disabled in the Services (type services.msc at the command prompt).

Other than that, not sure what did this. If somehow a removable drive with bitlocker encryption was introduced to the system, it could still be looking for that to decrypt.

I will check that out. IF a removable drive with bit locker was introduced is there anyway to get rid of this error? I may have used a USB thumb driver but I don't think it has bitlocker.

Unfortunately, I can seem to locate others with this problem but no solutions to it. Maybe someone else can chime in with some other better guesses or solutions, but for the time being I would just try to ignore it.

At the very least, just to rule it out, open up an elevated command prompt and run "sfc /scannow" to make sure no Windows files have become corrupted. It might be a good time to download and run CCleaner as well as some AV scans to make sure nothing else is happening here.

I remembered on the day it started I did Installed Internet TV in Widows Media. I also checked out msconfig and it is not in my start up but bit locker encryption is in services but labeled as stopped. Oh well does not seem to be causing any issues so I hate to fix what is not broke

That's weird. Like you said, just continue on unless it's causing you problems and be sure to post back up if it is.

I finally figured out what is causing this. I installed Acronis True Home 2011 a few days before I noticed this, I do my back ups on a Western Digital 1.5 TB external drive which I assume powers off with the PC. When I boot up if NON Stop Back Up which is part of Acronis starts BEFORE the External drive is fully up I get this error in the Event Viewer. I have not found a fix but don't' really think one is needed at this point. Not really sure why the error has to do with bit locker since the drive in not encrypted.
