Desktop changes on reboot

    Desktop changes on reboot


    I create a folder on the desktop.
    I drag/drop all desktop icons/files into the folder.
    Reboot the machine.
    All icons are back on the desktop.
    The folder I created / filled is empty.

    Where to go ? what to read?

    Hi msuffin

    Before Reboot try right clicking on the desktop and selecting refresh and see if the files are still in the appropriate folders.

i set a wallpaper from one of the sites in the wallpaper sites list and when i reboot its gone replaced by a black screen mind you everything is fine otherwise but do i have to do to keep the wallpaper i set as my desktop back ground. Also i use a wallpaper changer program called walyk wallpaper...
