Registry Changes Not Taking Effect

Is there anything that would cause all registry changes not to have any effect? The changes are saved and still there when the computer is restarted..but the changes never appear. It isn't complicated or anything - just WallpaperOriginX. Any advice is appreciated.

I think there are programs that put your computer to a virtual environment so if bad things happen, they don't affect the real operating system at all. I don't know a software that can specifically do what you were asking but you can try these instead:

Keep your system clean. Roll back to a clean state and never worry about virus infections.

These programs can isolate changes, I suspect even some changes in the registry from your machine.
