Just ordered my copy of Win 7

    Hi :)
    I'm still a bit confused, if i go for the Windows 7 upgrade from XP Pro the disk i receive is it a full installation disk (could i use it to install Windows 7 on a new home build Computer forgoing my old XP Pro licence. any advice appreciated.

    Yep got my copies, one for me and the wife. I ordered mine from the Microsoft Store so I could download it when it was available.

    You can install it on any pc, but i think you will still need your xp disc or activation key as it will be asked for during the installation.

    Oh so after the 15th July it will cost me $199.99 = £122.44 just to upgrade

    Oh hell i just noticed at the bottom of the page - $299.99 = £185.54 if i want to keep XP Pro (thats my Sat-Nav out the window !)

    Anyone in the US want a lodger :)
