Type Aero in Start Search box, run the Aero troubleshooter.

Rightclick Desktop>Personalize, choose an aero theme, create a Desktop Background slide show, then Save the theme by giving it a Name.

Look in Device Manager for make/model of Display adapter. Check optional Windows Updates, or the Support Downloads webpage for your computer model or the adapter model to update the Display driver: Driver Install - Device Manager

Next run SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

If repairing System Files doesn't help, then consider a Repair Install

If this is an in-place Upgrade or factory preinstall then this kind of corruption does occur, you may want to consider for the long run doing a clean reinstall using the Product Key on COA sticker: re-install windows 7

You can also try the video drivers...making sure you have the latest installed.

You go to the manufacturer of the video card you have and get their latest drivers. If they are newer than what you have installed, remove your current ones and use the newer ones.

windows update can sometimes find newer drivers - look in the optional tab.
