    explorer.exe INFECTED?.pls help.Thank You


    Hi all,

    Well.explorer.exe size has changed...But there has been windows 7 updates,etc.
    Every winodws 7 update is up to date,etc.But i would replace it but i don't know if its changed from an update or infected,etc.Thanks,So would anyone know if this is the legit file?.Thank You
    The size of my explorer.exe is 2.49 MB (2,616,320 bytes)

    Here's mine, on Windows 7 Ultimate, x64. I think you're OK. Anything wrong with your system? Or you're just got curious?

    Note, how the "Date Modified" is the same for everybody :)

    here is an alternative to windows explorer. xplorer² >>> xplorer² Windows File Manager (Explorer replacement)

    also Windows File Explorer i have attached it in the zip file if anyone is interested -
    Windows File Explorer is a file manager for Windows similar to Windows Explorer. But Windows File Explorer uses a different approach: it features many options that Microsoft's Windows Explorer is missing like image preview and it has two fixed file views side by side (but can be change to a single file view) that is useful when copying many files from folder to folder.

    Depending on what updates are installed, there may be slight changes to the file but it's nothing to worry about.

    For piece of mind, you may wish to download MalwareBytes and perform a Full System Scan.
       Note
    Most full scans will detect threats but 9/10 are actually harmless due to them being cookies with certain signitures. Once the scan is complete, read the log to see if/what threats it picks up
