How to delete windows admin user folder??

Ok so i have this problem. I had a problem with my admin account last night. When i tried to login it said that that the user profile could not be loaded. So i logged into the built in admin account and deleted that profile and created a new admin account. Now when i login to my new account, in c:/users, the old profile folder is still there. And i cannot delete it even through the default admin profile. It says that i need an admin account to delete it. All the files and evrything are still in that folder. How should i delete it completely??

Hello Babyshoe, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Once you enable the built-in Administrator account, you do not want to try and delete it's "C:\Users\Administrator" user profile folder. Doing so could cause you unwanted issues.

If you do not want to continue using the built-in Administrator account (good idea), then you could just disable it instead.

    Hope this helps,

No im sorry you did not understand my question. I have disabled the built in admin account. Thats not the one i want to delete. Its my old user profile folder. The one which i had a problem with and so had to delete. I have deleted the profile but it still has a folder in c:/users with all the files and everything. Hope u understood now.

    Ah, ok.

Did you delete the user account from within User Accounts in the Control Panel (icons view) first?

If so, then open the user folder you are wanting to delete, and click on "Continue" and "Yes" to grant permission to access it when prompted. Afterwards, see if you are able to delete it.

Are you currently logged in an adminstrator account?

Did you already do what was in my post above to delete the user account first before trying to delete the user folder?

When it required you to give permission, did it give you a prompt to click on "Continue" and "Yes" to grant permission to access it?

Ok, see if using the free program Unlocker on the folder may be able to allow you to delete it afterwards.
