My understanding is that Windows 7 Starter Edition is NOT available on the discs that are purchased at retail. It is only installed by manufacturers. That's probably why there isn't an iso readily available.

Update: My bad...I confused it with Office Starter Edition. Windows 7 Starter Edition is available on the same discs as the other versions.

I'm suprised this is debated anymore. It is on all full x86 DVDs. It is not on the x64, as Starter x64 doesn't exist. When you create a combined full install disc, you get 9 choices...the typical 4 versions, for x86 and x64 each...and then Starter for x86.

could someone maybe e-mail me a link to a starter iso? or maybe if they were nice enough send me one of their already unlocked ones? chrisneedsHELP@live.ca once again thanks guys, actually.. I've only just started to do this kind of stuff on computers... so If someone could maybe give me a brief explanation on how to unlock a regular windows 7 iso file to get that icefg file, or whatever it is... so that i could do it myself? that would also be a big help

Just run this tool on the ISO: Ei.cfg Removal Utility Lets You Use Any Product Key With Your Windows 7 Disc

then burn it to DVD using ImgBurn at 4x speed http://download.cnet.com/ImgBurn/300...-10847481.html

or to install from flash stick: install UltraISO trial version, on File tab open ISO, on Bootable tab Write Disk Image, Format, Write. Boot under USB or HD's.
