MS announced that both 32bit & 64bit versions will come with a single license purchase with W7. Now I don't know if they'll be on a single DVD (yes, they can do that BTW) or 2 but I suspect it will be a single disk for $$$ savings.
The present MS dvds have to be usable on any dvd drive while dual layer disks for two versions would require a select number of optical drives not just any some manufacturer tosses on a prebuild or a case you put together. MS still has to look at the universal standard when mass producing any software disks just like any other software vendor.
I suspect what you don't see shown in the plastic case they displayed in the blog was the divider or what was behind the white what looks like insert in the case. You would likely see the second disk on the opposite side there like you would with two disk pc games.
