Just a note to all the members doing an Upgrade install by modding a file...

MS disables the Upgrade process on some builds for a Reason!
Usually because some system files and/or kernel upgrade may not function correctly (or at all) going th upgrade route. You may not notice anything wrong but it's quite possible that you didn't get a kernel update or some other feature that the build was compiled for in the first place.

I do agree that the Upgrade process has matured immensely in W7, the builds that did allow me to upgrade all worked perfectly and the process was FAST! I have officially changed my stance on the "Clean, don't Upgrade" installation recommendation as I now think an upgrade install is perfectly fine now (as many of us have found out).

Build 7224 was voted no go by MSFT engineers for a reason. Major TAP partners got this build as well. That is why it leaked. I would recommend those that are running 7137 or higher, to stay put where you are until gold RTM gets leaked, sometime after July 13th. In fact, it might be better to sit on what you have so that you can enjoy Windows 7 until March 2010 free. The 7264 and beyond leaks will require a valid key or a risky patch that could cause a problem later on. Just my .02 cents.

From everything I read on 7264, it's not worth upgrading just yet.

Problems reported rang from "unable to removed some Windows 7 features" to "slow internet browsing with Firefox" to "reoccurring BSOD at various intervals".

I myself have been running 7201 x64 since it's been leaked and have experience ZERO problems :)
