16:9 screen - window too large

Friend of mine has a netbook with a 16:9 screen. With one particular app the bottom half of the window is off the bottom of the screen. There are no scroll-bars and the window has a minimum size when resizing. Resolution already set to highest.

Current solution is to count the number of tab-presses to know that the OK button is selected.

    Is ther another solution?

Have you tried adjusting the zoom? Look in the bottom right corner of the screen and you will see a percentage. Click on it and try adjusting that and see what happens.

With me it fits on the screen, and I have no % sign. I will get him to look. But when I was helping him out I can't remember seeing it.

Fairly common problem with netbooks. The problem is the maker of the application.

I was rather hoping that Windows had a keyboard short-cut to scroll.
All the app developer had to do was set the flag for auto vertical scrollbars. And make space for them in the screen layout, of course.
I will give my friend the bad news!!
