    Can I Update Win 7 From Build To Build Without Formatting ?

    Quick Answer: Yes

    You could upgrade from a build to another build but it is recommended to do a clean install.

    Upgrade Install with Windows 7

    That tutorial should work for you, even if upgrading from build to build.

    I tried the upgrade function once ... only once though. In the time that it took ( 2.5 hours ) I could have done a clean install and restored all the apps, and still have enough time for a nice nap!

    Hi CashOverrideSE,

    Depending on what version you are upgrading to (7100 RC is the last official release) it will stay active untill March 2010.
