Stop clicking on picture to resume when screen goes black

I just installed windows 7. I am the only user of this computer, and have disabled the need to enter a password. But I want to get rid of the blue background with my picture, which needs to be clicked on to resume, every time my screen goes black (which happens if I don't use the computer for a few minutes, don't know what does this).

This is nuts. Why should I have this blue screen and need to clicfk my picture if I am the only possible user? I did delete an account with some funny name that I did not create, but I can not delete the administrator and guest accounts.

When I have to click my picture, it is the only picture.

Thanks for any help so I don't shoot my computer.

    Jim

I got rid of that by going to
    Control Panel>Power Option>Require A Password on wakeup
and changing that setting down near the bottom.

Also, on the Power Options screen, you can change the Turn Off Display and Sleep settings if you don't want the screen going dark, by clicking Change Plan Settings.

Because without it, even when your screen is black, the computer would still be logged onto an administrator account, which could let unwanted malware run amock on your system. For security reasons, the system is asking you to log back in to continue.

I have the oposite problem. After the screen goes dark, I just have to move my mouse and I can resume, but I want blue welcome screen after display goes dark (not after sleep). Any ideas how to set up this?

As far as I see in Power Settings, that isn't an option. I would say that if you're going to be away from your computer for so long, the best solution would be to lock it when you leave (windows and L key).

This may not be the answer you are looking for, but you could try setting the Turn Off Display interval to the same as the Sleep interval.

Yes, that would be possible if there is no other option. Thank you for your answers.

Not to derail from the OP's needs, but where did you find this option?
