    Local Hard Drive (*c) changed to NTFS by clicking on "permissions of r


    how to handle this?

    did system restore.. no change to ntfs local disk.
    local disk changed to ntfs. cannot open local disk C:
    no windows action center,
    not working all including:
    Device Manager,
    Remote Settings,
    System protection
    not format...
    is there any other way except reinstallin OS again.
    My os is win 7 ultimate..

    That sounds like the side effect of a virus.
    Do you get the same behavior in safe mode?

    Hello snpshare, welcome to Seven Forums!


    If the sfc /scan doesn't work, be sure to run it a couple times to be sure, as it sometime takes a couple runs to complete successfully; here's another method to use, it may be better because the system won't be 'in use' during the scan.

    SFC /SCANNOW : Run in Command Prompt at Boot
