by the way... is this the "Aero Diamond" that you guys are talking about?
    No.

THIS is what I was talking about. An old Vista joke......like WinFS.

It was my way of sarcastically saying "Nothing else new to be see in RTM".

Although searching for *res.dll in Windows\System32 brings up some interesting icons (DDOres.dll in particular) that I haven't seen before. But I never really looked.

I'm inclined to agree but MS marketing did say they were keeping back one or two surprises for the final version.

However that was claimed before 7000 was released and who knows what could have changed since then.
that's great news... didn't knew that

There was no real mention of what those surprises were, but I'm secretly hoping they keep their word anyway. But I'm also expecting that they won't. It is MS after all

Um. If Microsoft said they were keeping back surprises for the final version, they probably say that considering that all people will see is the Beta/RC versions. They're not, like, saying, "we're keeping surprises for the final version out of those leaked builds you guys pirate." I'd assume.

I think that the changes in the RTM will be very limited. Or too less to be considered...

    My guess is no changes.
However, I would wish to get (optional?) the good-old sidebar back last minute.

    Cool! I didn't know that.
Yes, thank you. :) I didn't know about this either and I will put that to good use. Apparently this is in other versions of Windows as well, not just 7.

I cant see any changes happening at all to be honest as its a bit late to start messing with things. New Visual styles need to be tested for bugs, same as any change in GUI.

Maybe some new icons and wallpapers ? But to be honest I'm not that bothered as i will change what i don't like anyway , Same as i have done on every OS i have used in the past.

By the way you can right click on the task bar and select "Task Manager"
