Results are in from gparted. Gparted is showing the drive as it should be. I did take a screen shot but i can't find the image. Gparted save the image to home/user/gparted.jpeg. I searched both drives and can't find it. I pluged the old drive in thermaltake to use with gparted. so I didn't have to remove the new drive.

My new drive is up to date with the latest win7 updates. Now I just need to get my programs and files installed and use a better backup program.

Really I don't understand why people still use anything from Symantec/Norton.
It is the biggest resource hog.

Good luck with the new install.

Use Win7 backup imaging, Macrium Reflect freeware or Paragon 11 freeware which is what's recommended here.
Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup - Windows 7 Forums
Macrium - Image your system - Windows 7 Forums

There is also outstanding defrag freeware: Puran (boot time defrag, Intelligent Optimizer), Auslogics Disk and Registry defrag, Defraggler.

We recommend freeware here not because it's free, but because it's better and doesn't impinge on Win7 performance like the paid apps tend to do.
