My Memtest86 (v4.20) results

Slow shutdowns can occur for a variety of reasons including malware etc... before shutting down have you tried Ctrl, Alt, Del and had a look at whats running in the Task Manager?

You can leave them all in, it won't make any difference. If one of them is broken, memtest86+ will tell you. I suggest you leave it running overnight, make it do at least 10 passes to be sure.

Would you recommend me to set the setting right now to see how it is acting? Could be quite interesting.

Btw, quite fun "problem", I checked for updates in Win Updates, and some of the many Important Secure Updates I have, isn't crossed. Like a couple of them ain't crossed, and the rest is. And even some of the other Secure Updates is even in optional. Which one to choose? :), also I forgot to mention that, some of the listing updates is "Upgrade for Windows7" I think they were called. Like 6 of them. And I'm a bit scared to run into a boot-loop or Blue screen experience again. I guess I'm going to install them slowly (one by one), not to run in problems. Or anything else you would like to recommend?

No, don't go changing memory voltages without reason. It might have worked for someone by sheer luck that their memory wasn't running at the right voltage, but it's certainly not something you just try to see if it fixes something.

Wait and see what memtest shows you and go from there.

You have checked that are plugged into the correct sockets? You may need to insert them into alternate sockets?

Ah, both RAM is in the black socket. (there's black and yellow). In my ASUS Motherboard manual, it says that you can just pick any empty socket available. But sounds interesting, maybe I should choose:

• 1x black
• 1x yellow
