I also use Foxit Reader, and I'm interested in how you capture a scrolling screen and convert it to a PDF doc. I'd appreciate learning about the procedure!

You definitely 'done' good on this one Kari. I downloaded the older version as you suggested. Once I played around with it I've decided to buy the production version. It's really a cool tool and the folks who developed the thing are entitled to my support.

Now for the advanced (course) question

I now must have 5 or 6 pdf readers installed that have come through recommendations over time. The problem is that none of the free versions do all the 'duh' tasks that the casual and frequent user of pdf files typically runs in to. Frankly, as with FastStone, I'd pay a reasonable fee for an app that did perform all and did not charge each year for each new thing. Btw, I did have FastStone's re-sizer already.

For example: Resize the text on a page and save and print that added text as enlarged, add text or draw on pdf and save and print, select and remove images or text from pdf, save and print. I may be missing one or two more functions but I think you get the point. The free ones that I currently have (and now cannot remember which does which!) is Nitro, Nova, Pdfsam, Pdzilla and Sumatra.

Have you considered a non-paper list? For corporate images and systems, I keep a spreadsheet on my Intranet with a list of apps that are part of my install base, with a tab for each type of system (desktop, server, laptop) and their respective version numbers.
