Add the "Favorites" shortcut to taskbar

Apologies if there is an answer in the forums , but I could not find.

I have a link to my Windows Explorer "Favorites" folder in my Start Menu but I can not find a way to add it to my taskbar.

I have been told elsewhere that this can not be done, but thought I'd come here for some expert advice from other Windows 7 users and maybe some sort of possible workaround or free utility than can do this.

I would really like just a "one click" option on my taskbar to open the Favorites folder.

Hello Sanfranman, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Sure you can do it. You could use the steps in the tutorial below to pin your %UserProfile%\Links folder to the taskbar.

Taskbar - Pin or Unpin a Folder

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

Thanks for replying Shawn, but I asked about the Favorites folder in WINDOWS Explorer in Windows 7 , not Favorites in Internet Explorer.

Ooops. Sorry, that would be the %UserProfile%\Links folder instead.

Thanks Shawn. If I could ask just a couple of quick questions about the forum itself as I am using for the first time :
    - How do I easily find my way back to a question that I posted previously to see any replies?
    - If needed , how can I edit or add to my forum's "System specs" that I set up when I first joined?

Hi Sanfranman and again Welcome to the Forum. To view/get back to your previous threads, Log in with your ID, Look at the top of the main page and click on Subscriptions. All your threads will be listed. Also, if anyone posts to one of your threads, an E-mail will be sent immediately to you. Also, while in a Thread, click on Thread Tools to Unsubscribe from that thread.
As for updating your System Specs, again top of page and click on User CP.
Hope this helps. Have a look in our Tutorial Section - loads of very interesting goodies.
    Best regards

    You're most wecome SFM.

In addition, you could click on the Quick Links link at the top of a webpage for the most common item to use such as Threads I posted in.
