    permanently lock taskbar and start menu


    Is there a way to permanently lock items on the task bar and start menu? I can for example lock the taskbar, but can still drag icons onto or from it and rearrange them. I want to lock everything permanantly so no one can screw them up. I'm using Home Premium.

    Hello Jiggy,

    You could use step 3 in Option Two in the tutorial below to disable dragging and dropping in the Start Menu for all users.

    Start Menu Context Menus and Dragging and Dropping - Disable or Enable

    You might also consider creating a user account for each user of their own instead to prevent this.

http://i.imgur.com/VbR4O.png I know that the full version can be achieved while holding the shift key, but is there way to bypass that and have the regular full sized menu by default?
