    Error Number 10053

When I try to upload something to a site that I frequently send uploads to without a problem I get the message:"Error Number 10053 - Connection is aborted due to timeout or other failure. Probably temporary fault and should try again later. "

I've tried many times since yesterday morning when the problem started, have restarted my computer and disconnected/reconnected my internet connection but still have the problem.

I sent a message to the website and no one else appears to have the problem - so assume it is a problem my end. Does anyone have any suggestions of what might be wrong and how to fix it.

    Marietta.

The problem here is that that error message is not absolutely precisely defined, so finding out the exact error involved can be difficult.

Also, "temporary" can basically mean anything at all! It is completely meaningless really, but does at least offer the hope that the error will eventually be resolved, which is obviously what happened here.

This also indicates that the error arose outside your system, most likely with your provider, or similar, and they fixed the error.

Good to hear you got things going again.

    My pleasure.

This type of error can drive users crazy, because they then try to fix problems they don't have, and can not influence!

Anyway, nice to hear you are back to normal with it.
