permanently lock taskbar and start menu

Is there a way to permanently lock items on the task bar and start menu? I can for example lock the taskbar, but can still drag icons onto or from it and rearrange them. I want to lock everything permanantly so no one can screw them up. I'm using Home Premium.

Hello Jiggy,

You could use step 3 in Option Two in the tutorial below to disable dragging and dropping in the Start Menu for all users.

You might also consider creating a user account for each user of their own instead to prevent this.

Hi, I'm doing a library kiosk and I would like to hide the sleep and lock button. Is there a reg file or anyway to go about doing it? All I am able to find is to disable it and it will be greyed out but I do not want it to be in the start menu at all. Please help. TAN JIAN HUI

Why is the context menu in Start Menu and Taskbar so small? I know that the full version can be achieved while holding the shift key, but is there way to bypass that and have the regular full sized menu by default?
