The problem is the program thinapp that people are using to make portable applications. VMware has said they are working on a fix but no idea when it will be out

Until then , portable apps that do work are made like this:

I went to have a look at the site from which you downloaded the game, and was not able to locate it, so I've not been able to test it.

I must point out, however, that "Sudoku! Deluxe" is supposed to be a paid-for game, which leads me to believe that "Portable Download" is not exactly on the straight an narrow. Unless the download you have IS infact a trial version?

But as for the crashing problem, it's possible that the game isn't properly compatible with Windows 7. Try this:
    1. Right-click the shortcut or exe for the program
    2. Click the "Compatibility" tab
    3. Click "run this program in compatibility mode for:" to add a check mark to it
    4. Select "Windows XP" from the list
    5. Click OK
    Does the program still crash?

right click the exe (e.g. photoshop.exe) and then properties, at the compatibility tab choose windows vista service pack 2. then apply and try to run your portable apps.
