Also, the Virtual Store can come into play if files in virtualizable folders are edited or an app attempts to write to them -

Common file and registry virtualization issues in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

ANTARES, i know this is an old post, but i only saw yesterday... patience ...

This anooyance you told , about restriction to acces folders on wondows , have a simple solutuion.:)

Download an iso of HalkPE V42, and after burn in an cd , boot woth this cd , and after is entirely loades , click in GO in the lower left corner of screen, select programs, go to ERD EXPLORER, and selecr the system disk /partition, and go to fdolder that you can gain acces, and in properties of the folder , use the options of reeset something , and the other child objects of something like that , and dismark the restritions.
Yoiu get a warning that this will modify the permissions . Go ahead , folder by folder, and all hard disk will be yours ! i agree with you . we paid for the system and for the software . WE HAVE THE RIGTH TO SCREW WITH THE SYSTEM IN ANY MOMENTS WE DECIDE IS THE PROPER MOMENT. WE PAID FOR , SO THE SYSTEM BELONG TO US ! MICROSOFT DO NOT HAVE THE RIGTH DO IMPEDE OUSELVES TO ACCES ANY FOLDER WE WANT.
WELL, sorry . i was inflated by the matter . Power to the masses !!!

    Best regards,

I also had the same problem.....

I have done everything mentioned above but it didn't work .the problem was still on.

but now my problem is solved.....HERE IS THE SOLUTION......(NOTE- It is for the particulas folder)

1)Manually open the folder for which the access is denied.

2)select the Executable/application file in that folder.

3)Right click on it and go to PROPERTIES->COMPATIBILITY

4)Now see the PRIVILEGE LEVEL and check it for RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR

5)then click on CHANGE SETTING FOR ALL USERS.

6)I guess the problem is solved now.
