If you open a command prompt windows and type in:-

tasklist /svc /FI "IMAGENAME eq svchost.exe"

This will show you what has started each incidence of svchost.

Microsoft MVP

Vista and now 7 in 32 and 64 bit.

I have 10 instances of svchost running at present, mostly connected with my audio and Lan. They are currently using 220 mbs so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I am curious concerning what this is. When viewing task manager for "All Users", I see this process using almost 50% of physical memory. It appears using over 200,000K and a second time at 16,000K. Thanks in advance for the help.
