    Problem with Task Manager

I can't access the "Show Process from all users" button in task manager. When I press it nothing happens.
I'm not sure when this occurred but I used to be able to access it before.

Edit: That's weird... It seems that I also cannot access other Windows functions that have a UAC shield. But I used to be able to access it before.

    Hello Edrik,

For now, you might see if using this elevated Task Manager shortcut will work for you.

Silly question I know, but are you logged into an administrator account?

A repair install should be able to fix it for you though without losing anything.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

    Hello Shawn,

Thank you for the tip, but the check box for "run as administrator" at advanced properties is unavailable.

Yes I am logged in as an administrator.

I would try a repair install and see if it works. I'll keep you updated

Edit: uh-oh I seem to have deleted my installer from my downloads folder.
Does this mean I have to download build 7260 x86 again ?

why don't you use Process Explorer from Microsoft?

It's way better than the native task manager

    Edit:

Would upgrading my build fix this issue ? If so I'll just wait for the next build to come out.

you should change your UAC a few times like turn it off and restart then set it at max and then restart, then leave it as default and restart, that may fix your problem good luck

    Edrik,

I would recommend trying the repair install. It should fix it without losing anything. :)

    Shawn,

I would like to do a repair install but I have accidentally deleted my copy of the windows 7 installer. Would upgrading my build do the same as a repair install and fix this issue ?
