Why do i have two NTUSER.DAT

    Why do i have two NTUSER.DAT


    How do i remove the NTUSER.DAT file from my documents folder, i have tried hiding the file in folder options but no luck. NTUSER.DAt file exists in c:user\username but i dont understand why i have a copy of it in my documents.. any ideas?

    You have probably copied by accident.

    thanx for the reply mike, i didnt copy it plus i have my folder options set to hidden, so i shouldnt be able to see the file, but for some reason i can, i know i have the original NTUSER.DAt file in c:user\username, I just wana remove the one in my documnets or make it hidden.

    Well, you can hide it simply by making it "hidden" in the file properties.

    You can also simply delete it ( but make a copy first, renamed to NTUSER.DAT.BAK or similar). If nothing untoward occurs after running for a while, then just delete it.
