    No GUI Boot Not Working

I'm trying to remove the animated Windows logo screen during booting.

I went to C:\Windows\System32 and started msconfig.exe by right click and selecting Run as Administrator, then I select No GUI Boot and OS Boot Information at the Boot tab, but after restarting the animated screen is still there.

    Any Ideas?

AFAIK, the only thing you should select is NO GUI Boot. Leave the others alone.

True, NOGUI does not function as it should

I've checked the NOGUI box in MSCONFIG, just as I did in WINXP, but nothing changes - I'm still stuck waiting at that moronic Welcome screen, wondering what's going on.

At least one could, in the past, edit a simple .txt file and add logo=0 to fix it for sure.

(It appears that microsquish is taking after apple and we should like what we're told to like [by steve or bill].)
