I am wondering if it is possible to update Windows 7 build 7100?

Are there any patches or updates?

Windows update, or find a leaked version. Build 7229 is the latest build that will accept RC-keys.

But i am new, my brother had Windows 7 lying about on a disk, thought i would give it ago. And i must say i like.

Is there anyway to get the latest built, without a full download of windows 7

Yes it is possible to upgrade win 7 build 7100. the most recent build for 32 bit is 7260. It is always preferable to do a clean install but if that is impossible you can download 7260 (32 BIT). There is a 7264 but there are no current valid keys for it so I would suggest 7260
